Stop online piracy act SOPA and her sister Protect IP act
Thanks to Rep. Lamar Smith, whose brain child are SOPA and PIPA. Imagine a world without You tube, Facebook, orkut or google, a search engine for that matter.
When the world has surpassed the Free trade Agreement physically. Some one from the west cries out loud about the electronic piracy and IP rights. Wiki and few other websites shutdown their systems for a while and there isn’t a data to monitor the effect. But I believe there would be millions who have been denied information rights on that day.
If at all wikipedia has positioned itself as a paid website where you only get information at a cost? If every search costs you 50 paise in google? They have made information free of cost and monitoring them is like offering a binocular to a man who sits in a space craft.
Indian government also came down heavily on google saying that its web pages lead to content which are non permissible. I dont buy all these points. When it comes to internet, good, bad, worse- we have it all.
Preventing piracy and electronic IP isn’t gonna happen, but if these laws are implemented there would be denial of information and we all will be forced back to the stone age.

I believe it too, when You know You cant stop it, why don’t You just enjoy and have fun Mr.Rep. Lamar Smith?
